We’ve been salivating ever since we heard that Tony and Kimberly Scott were planning a Jamaican food venture right here in the neighborhood. It looked like things might fall through for awhile, but they now have the property – 11700 N. IH35 – and are working hard to get the business open to the public.
They’ve overcome most of the bureaucratic problems new Austin businesses frequently have, and are steadily moving toward a Grand Opening which they hope to have mid-Summer. Their sign is on the side of the building facing the two-way street that runs between Sandpiper and Meadowlark beside the I-35 Frontage road, where the entrance to the “store” will be. So it can be reached from either Sandpiper or Meadowlark. The “Park” will be in the open area to the north of the building. And we can’t wait to have a party to welcome them to the ‘hood!
