It’s time again for IT’S MY PARK DAY!
We’ll kick off the morning with a trail and creek cleanup, including picking up trash, removing some invasive species, and mulching social trails.

Volunteers get the satisfaction of giving back and, of course, an AWESOME It’s My Park Day t-shirt designed by local artists!
We will provide tools and gloves but PLEASE BRING YOUR OWN WATER BOTTLE and wear work-appropriate clothing. There will not be single-serving plastic bottles of water available.
Meet at the Walnut Bluffs Trailhead entrance at 11938 Oakbrook Drive to get started right at 9:00 AM.

9:00 AM – It’s My Park Day activities (see link below)
10:00 AM – Walnut Bluffs Trailhead Opening Celebration begins!
11:00 AM – Walnut Creek ribbon-cutting ceremony
11:15 AM – Hike/bike parade to Walnut Creek Metro Park event
12:30 PM – Raffle drawing (you don’t have to be present to win)
There will also be a SAFETY TEAM FUNDRAISING RAFFLE with amazing prizes including beautiful ready-to-ride bikes for all ages and high-end cycling helmets! NORTHERN WALNUT CREEK TRAIL COMMUNITY CELEBRATION:
The Urban Trails Program is hosting an opening celebration at Walnut Creek Metropolitan Park (WCMP). After the Walnut Bluffs ribbon-cutting, we’ll all hike/bike over to WCMP via the new connector trail to join the city event.

SCHEDULE
9:30am – Meet at trailhead entrance and walk to stream
9:40am – Round of optional check-ins followed by a 7 minute silent meditation
9:50am – 10 minute recorded sound bath
We will have a few extra blankets but please bring a blanket or mat if you’d like to make sure you have something to sit or lay on.
WHAT IS A SOUND BATH?
It’s basically a fancy term for laying around and listening to calming music. This week it’s gonna be some hippie bells and singing bowls and shit. It’s nice!!

Join us for a Community Fun Day!
We will be cooking on the grill, playing kickball, and spending time with as many neighbors as possible! This event is kid-friendly and all ages and abilities are welcome! Whether you’d like to come for the friendship, to play the sport, watch the sport, or simply to share a meal . . . we would love to see you!
The first kickball game will begin at 2:00 p.m. for all ages and levels. The second kickball game will begin at 3:00 p.m. for more advanced/competitive levels.
Come in your comfy clothes, meet new and old friends, and if you would like to (no obligation at all) bring something to throw on the grill or a snack or drink to share!
Located in the St. Mark Meadow.
