Event Details

Hi Neighbors! Please join us this weekend on Sunday, Sept 11th at 10 AM for a neighborhood collective art project! This is an activity that is for children between the ages of 5 – 10 (although all are welcome).

We are both moms who see an urgent need for peace in the world and hope this project could be a way for the kids in our neighborhood to create something beautiful together. Following this activity, we would also like to invite families in our neighborhood to join us for a weekly children’s group, “Walnut Creek Agents of Change,” on Sundays at 10 AM starting on September 18th. With the recent events that are currently unfolding in the world, we want to work towards a more compassionate and peaceful society.

To register, please use this LINK. The weekly class will be held in Mackenzie’s backyard at 11505 Hunters Lane. We will be drawing on material provided by the Ruhi institute, a Baha’i curriculum, which assists children from early childhood through adolescence in developing their intellect and spiritual capacities to be of service to humanity. This is a weekly class for all that provides a space where commonalities of race, religion, belief, spirituality, and justice can be explored and celebrated. All are welcome to participate.

We believe that all people, every child, are “gems of inestimable value,” and that we are all created noble, and that we all have the capacity to see the nobility in others.

If you have any questions about the Ruhi material or would like to know more about the children’s class, please reach out to Mackenzie Gandomi (806 – 236 – 7101) or Lauren Anvari (202-834-8817). Mackenzie Gandomi Nathan Mackenzie Gandomi
