North Austin Safety Summit

The Safety Summit brings together seven North Austin neighborhoods impacted by crime and safety issues. It is a free community event featuring speakers, workshops, and ways to connect with your neighbors.

PURPOSE:
To build trusting relationships among community members so that we can find better solutions and advocate for our needs.

FOCUS AREA:
The neighborhoods of Walnut Creek, Gracywoods, Quail Hollow, NACA, North Lamar, River Oaks, and Georgian Acres (roughly the 2-3 mile radius around the intersection of North Lamar and Braker Lane, bounded by Metric and 1-35).

ORGANIZERS
We’re All Neighbors in partnership with the Walnut Creek Safety Team and participating neighborhood associations.

Location: St. Mark UMC, 601 W Braker Lane

We’re working with many key players such as the offices of Leslie Pool and Chito Vela, APD, The Office of Violence Prevention and more to develop programming for the summit.
