Volunteer Tree Planting, Family Friendly Activities & Arbor Day Ceremony

To celebrate Arbor Day and the City of Austin’s 23rd year as a Tree City USA community, the City of Austin is partnering with TreeFolks to host a tree planting and family friendly Arbor Day event at the Boggy Creek Greenbelt. Volunteers will plant 80 native trees and mulch existing trees at the park.

There will be a brief ceremony to recognize the partners of the city’s Urban Forestry program, an Arbor Day Proclamation, and live music. Families are encouraged to attend from 9:00 am – 2:00 pm to participate in tree related activities including tree planting, tree id tours, and seed ball making.

Montgomery Brown and the Orchestra of Dust will be playing at Arbor Day!
